Determined Punjab FC defence hold East Bengal to a goalless draw.

The result sees East Bengal climb to 6th place in the league standings, though they are separated from North East United only on goal difference.

A fight and a half from Punjab FC as they denied falling under pressure from East Bengal at a noisy Yuba Bharati Krirangan. Despite creating several opportunities, East Bengal struggled with their finishing, allowing Punjab FC's strong defense, led by Milos, Suresh Meitei, Lhungdim, and Nitesh, to keep them at bay.

Although Punjab FC primarily focused on defending, they also displayed occasional sparks of attacking brilliance, particularly through Abhishek Tekcham and Juan Mera. Mera, in particular, came agonizingly close to breaking the deadlock as he struck the crossbar with a powerful shot.

On the other hand, East Bengal's attacking trio of Cleiton Mahesh, Nandhakumar, and Borja posed a constant threat to Punjab FC's defense. However, despite their impressive individual performances, they were unable to find the back of the net throughout the match.

With neither team able to seize the opportunity, the match concluded in a 0-0 draw at full time. The result sees East Bengal climb to 6th place in the league standings, though they are separated from North East United only on goal difference.
