FC Goa secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Mohun Bagan Super Giants in a thrilling match at the Fatorda Stadium. Brandon Fernandes was the star of the night, scoring a stunning brace in the 12th and 68th minutes to give the hosts the upper hand.

Mohun Bagan fought back through Dimitri Petratos, who converted a penalty in the 55th minute to keep his team in contention. However, their inability to create clear chances and counter Goa’s structured play cost them dearly.

FC Goa’s tactical discipline and efficient play secured their victory, strengthening their position in the standings. Mohun Bagan, meanwhile, must regroup and address their shortcomings to bounce back in the upcoming match against Punjab FC. 

Mohun Bagan Super Giants remain at the top with 26 points, while FC Goa climbs to third with 22 points.
