While speaking to Cricbuzz about Bangladesh’s challenging stance against India, the cricketer said -

“I personally don't think so. I think beating India in India is a humongous task. Bangladesh has played well in Pakistan. But no, I don't think there will be much trouble for India to beat Bangladesh.”

He put significant emphasis on the young pacer Harshit Rana. He also praised RL Rahul’s wicket-keeping stance but raised concern about his physical fitness.

On Thursday night, the players including the team captain Rohit Sharma Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah arrived at the Chennai airport to set up the pre-test camp. Later on, Virat Kohli was seen at the airport coming directly from London after his one-month vacation with family. Virat will make a comeback in this match.

While talking in a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra the experienced cricketer Piyush Chawla named Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad as the successors of Virar Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Chawla while elaborating his view praised both of the cricketers saying - “Shubman Because of his technique. Whenever one goes through poor form, a batter who is technically strong can come out of it. Any batter who has a good technique cannot stay out of form for too long. So, Shubman Gill for sure and Ruturaj Gaikwad,”
