Dravid happy with the Eden Garden pitch after a brief inspection

Dravid and his coaching staff were at the Eden Gardens for around 15 minutes.

Rahul Dravid, the chief coach of the Indian cricket team seemed satisfied with the pitch at the Eden Gardens on Friday evening. 

The Indian team, after landing in Kolkata to play their concluding group league match of the ongoing World Cup against South Africa on Sunday left for the hotel from airport.

Dravid and his coaching staff were at the Eden Gardens for around 15 minutes. He was shown the designated strip on the track and according to the curator of the Eden Gardens, Sujon Mukherjee the chief coach seemed happy. 

Mukherjee however speaking to media aid, “The match would be played on the same track where Bangladesh and Netherlands played. After that match some work has been done. Still, it is going to be a good track for both batsmen as well as the bowlers. The grass, kept on the track is minimal and Eden is always a black soil track.”
