The opening match of the Kanyasree Cup this season will take place between East Bengal and Kalighat Sports Lovers Association on 22nd November on Wednesday. The women’s football league will be inaugurated by the state sports minister Arup Biswas at the East Bengal ground.

A lot of distinguished personalities from the state        including a few other state ministers and the Olympians like Soma Biswas, Dola Banerjee, former India international cricketer Jhulan Goswami have been invited to grace the occasion. 15 teams in total, divided into two groups will take part in the women’s league this season.
