2024 is knocking on the door and the season is up for a blockbuster start as the Super Cup is ready to begin on the 9th of January, in Odisha. Adding more spice to it, after Durand Cup 2022, and Durand Cup 2023 yet again the two giants of Kolkata Football, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan find themselves in the same group after the Super Cup draw was conducted, and hence we are all lining up for yet another historic Kolkata Derby.
The tournament will go on till the 28th of January, and features 12 ISL teams divided into 4 groups, while the 4 remaining slots are to be filled by teams from the I-League. The top 3 ranked teams from I-League will automatically qualify for the Super Cup 2024 while the 4th spot will be decided after the play-offs between the teams below, which will be held on the 9th of January itself, in single-legged knock-out format.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal, Hyderabad FC, and I-League Team 1 find themselves in Group A, Kerala Blasters, North East United FC, Jamshedpur FC and I-League Team 2 find themselves in Group B, Mumbai City FC, Chennaiyin FC, Punjab FC, and I-League Team 3 find a place in Group C, while FC Goa, Odisha FC, Bengaluru FC and I-League Team 4 (Play-off winner) finds themselves in Group D.
The winner of each group will qualify for the semi-finals, and the winner of the tournament will not just win the trophy but also confirm their ticket to the 2024-25 AFC Champions League 2.
