East Bengal club raises protest against torture of minorities in Bangladesh

The senior official Debabrata Sarkar also informed that the club even is planning to make an official request to the Prime Minister for his interference to save the victims.

East Bengal Club raised a protest against the rampant persecution of the 'Hindu' minorities that has been going on for the last couple of months in Bangladesh. 

The club in a press release, issued on Monday in a media conference at the club premises, has revealed that the 'systematic targeting of minorities in Bangladesh has affected the club supporters deeply. 

The club has been receiving several phone calls and e-mails from different quarters of society with requests to raise the issue at the appropriate platforms. 

The club's senior official Debabrata Sarkar also informed that the club even is planning to make an official request to the Prime Minister for his interference to save the victims. The media release has also stated that such rampant persecution of minorities must be stopped immediately. 

The club wants all the competent authorities to address the issue with utmost priority and take necessary steps to protect and give relief to the victims.
