East Bengal advanced to the top of their group table after a struggling 2-1 victory against Police AC on Monday at home. The red-and-gold brigade obtained the goals through Abhishek Kunjam and P.V Vishnu. East Bengal has garnered 21 points from their nine matches so far. 

But they looked struggling to overcome the exuberance shown by Police AC. Jagmit Singh, the striker from JCT Football academy Punjab not only exhibited a decent goal for Police AC but shattered East Bengal defence almost alone. 

East Bengal obtained the winner in the dying minutes. P.V. Vishnu struck the winner showing impressive skill inside the goalmouth melee.

Among the other CFL Premier Division matches on the day, Kidderpore split points playing out a 1-1- draw against BSS Sporting Club and FCI edged past Dalhousie AC 2-1.
