Amidst the huge enthusiasm and craze, East Bengal won the Sydney Granville Shield in all three segments on Saturday held at Granville Community Centre. The final took place between Bhaichung Bhutia XI and Chuni Goswami XI and Bhaichung Bhutia won the match 1-0.

In the women’s football also East Bengal girls won 2-1 and they clinched the title also by winning 2-0 in child’s category 

The organizers, Bengali Mane Football Association gave special thanks to the people who took out time from there busy schedules to support the, especially to the distinguished Jason Li (MP) the Julia Finn (New South Wales sports minister) the Charisma Kaliyanda (MP) and His Excellency Mr Sanjay Muluka( Indian Counsilate ), Sameer Pandey (Major of Parramatta) and our beloved Suman Saha (councillor) and Raj Datta ( ex-councillor) uncle representing the Consul General of India for their support.
