In an electrifying ISL clash at Salt Lake Stadium, Mumbai City FC outlasted East Bengal FC 3-2, ending the hosts’ winning streak.
Mumbai City's Lallianzuala Chhangte opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a clinical finish, while Nikolas Karelis doubled the advantage in the 43rd minute with a well-placed strike.
East Bengal got a lifeline when MFC scored an own goal by Sahil Panwar in the 66th minute. Lalhlansanga restored parity in the 83rd minute with an opportunistic strike.

However, the resilient Nikolaos Karelis sealed the win for Mumbai City in the 87th minute with his second goal of the night, showcasing his composure under pressure.
East Bengal’s spirited fight was not enough to deny Mumbai City FC, who now sit comfortably in the fifth position of the ISL table, while the Red and Gold Brigade will aim to bounce back in their next game from their 11th position.
