EB eye Saji and Rai, MBSG try to rope in Gupta

In a flurry of transfer activity in the Indian football scene, East Bengal is reportedly edging closer to secure the services of Indian right-Back Alex Saji from Hyderabad FC for the upcoming season. 

Negotiations regarding the transfer fee are underway and it is learned that the contract with Saji is on the verge of finalization, indicating a potential boost to team’s strength.

The club has also reportedly offered a two-year contract offer to Vinit Rai, the potential midfielder from Mumbai City FC. It is also learned that Vinit Rai, however, is yet to make a decision on the offer as his current contract with Mumbai City FC will expire on 31st May 31 this year. 

His move can add significant depth to East Bengal midfield lineup, inside news is that the terms are agreed upon before the deadline.

However, Mohun Bagan Super Giants is reportedly showing keen interest in powering up their defensive lineup by targeting Jay Gupta, the left-back from FC Goa. The purpose is to strengthen left-back position. Mohun Bagan SG is reportedly willing to pay a substantial transfer fee to secure Gupta's services. 

If the deal materializes, it could address a crucial area of concern for Mohun Bagan SG and enhance their defensive stability for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile a section of the MBSG fan groups are not happy as Mumbai City FC has secured half of the tickets for the final of the ISL at the Salt Lake Stadium on 4th May.
