Cuadrat also feels Sreenidhi Deccan will be a tough side in their group.
East Bengal is not going to make any change in the list of its existing six foreign footballers for the upcoming Super Cup, starting from 9th January in Bhubaneswar. East Bengal is scheduled to play their opener on 9th January against Hyderabad FC.
The Red-and-Gold brigade has significantly registered all its existing six foreign footballers for the tournament, which means the team management’s focus on Lago Falque Silva seems to be remaining on the final phase of the ISL, scheduled to resume after the senior national team's engagement in the Asian Cup gets over.
The six foreigners are Borja Herrera, Javi Siverio, Cleiton Silva, Hijazi Maher, Antonio Pardo, and Jordan Elsey.
East Bengal’s Spanish coach Carles Cuadrat seems also hopeful with the rule that six foreign footballers could be fielded in the Super Cup. He is also optimistic about the youth footballers PV Vishnu, Jesin TK, and Tanmay Das, promoted to the senior team for the Super Cup.
Especially, Cuadrat is impressed by Vishu’s speed and skill. But at the same time, the Spanish coach feels Vishu should be promoted in a way so that his focus does not get distracted.
Cuadrat also feels Sreenidhi Deccan will be a tough side in their group. The Spanish coach has observed Deccan’s performance in the ongoing I-League so far is quite consistent and they can run a lot.
