In a bid to energize a team that does not have a single footballer with the experience of playing in the CFL Premier Division, the coach of the team has applied an interesting method. 

The coach is Mridul Bannerjee. His experience as a coach should not raise any questions. He has guided Kolkata's three big teams already. He was the coach of Santosh Trophy-winning Bengal team in the same year he received the best-coach's award in Kolkata Premier Division in 2016. 

He last coached a lower division in 2004. That was Mohammedan AC and after 19 years Banerjee took up another challenge of guiding the Dalhousie AC football team which will start its campaign in the Kolkata Premier Division on Wednesday. This is going to be Dalhousie's first-ever participation in the Premier Division, the opportunity to meet East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, and Mohammedan Sporting on the field. 

Speaking to Parallel Sports, Mridul revealed, "We do not have a single footballer who has experience playing in Premier Division. Among our 30 registered footballers, we have 35 to 40 percent of footballers have experience participating in the CFL First Division. We have three to five footballers who have never played in mainstream football. We have brought only two youngsters from Kerala. The average payment for our footballers is monthly Rs five thousand."

In a bid to energize these fresh boys, Banerjee implemented a significant method. He divulged, "The footballers' performance will be assessed in every match. If a footballer improves then he will receive a bonus on his salary. On the contrary, if any footballer is seen not trying to deliver his best, then a percentage from his salary will be deducted and that will be given to the footballers who are giving their best on the field."
