FC Goa move to Top of the ISL Table, 2nd defeat for Kerala Blasters

With this 1-0 victory, FC Goa made sure that Manolo Marquez and his side top the ISL table with 19 points from 7 matches, consisting of 6 wins and a draw.

An end-to-end encounter between FC Goa and Kerala Blasters ends in favour of the former as they clinch not just 3 points but the top spot in the league table, along with being unbeaten at the moment.

The match was nothing short of an entertaining 90 minutes of football with the battle getting intense every passing minute. The match was neck to neck with sometimes Adrian Luna, Peprah or Diamantakos getting the better of the Goan defence or sometimes the Goan attack testing the Kerala Blasters defence.

Eventually, the deadlock was broken just at the stroke of half-time when Rowllin Borges scored from a corner kick delivery in the box, even though at the cost of an injury which led to him being subbed off.

Attacks continued from both sides with a slender 1-goal lead for Goa but the game had it all. Match-saving blocks from Hormipam Ruivah to top saves from both the goalkeepers Sachin and Arshdeep every bit of action was entertaining but eventually with no further change in the scoreline.

With this 1-0 victory, FC Goa made sure that Manolo Marquez and his side top the ISL table with 19 points from 7 matches, consisting of 6 wins and a draw, ensuring FC Goa's supremacy being unbeaten so far in this season's ISL.
