A minor fire incident triggered panic among guests at the Park Hyatt in Banjara Hills on Monday after thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from the basement of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s team hotel on a busy Road Number 2.

According to officials from the Fire Department’s Control Room, a distress call was received at around 8.50 a.m., prompting the dispatch of two fire tenders—one each from the Jubilee Hills and Secretariat fire stations. Firefighters arrived at the scene and worked to contain the situation.

"The fire was electrical and largely resulted in heavy smoke. There were no casualties, injuries, or the need for rescue operations," commented a senior official from the Fire department.

The smoke was brought under control without any major damage or disruption to the building. The Fire officials were expected to conduct a follow-up inspection to check on the origin and cause of the fire.

According to reports from local newspapers, the SRH team had mostly left for the airport by the time the fire broke. The side was to catch a flight to Mumbai for its next game.
