Fitness issues marred Australia again as Steve Smith suffers from vertigo

"Occasionally, I have had a few episodes", he says

After Glenn Maxwell and opener Travis Head, now it's batter Steve Smith who suffers. He collapsed to his knees before getting down on all fours at a training session in Mumbai ahead of their World Cup match against Afghanistan on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium. Eventually he left the ground with the team physiotherapist, according to a report in Australia’s Cricket.com.au.

It was later revealed to the media that Smith had suffered from vertigo. In the press conference he mentioned, “I’ve had vertigo stuff over the last day or so. It’s been a bit annoying. Occasionally, I have had a few episodes, so I can tell you it is not the funnest space to be in, but yeah, I will go out and have a hit and hopefully be okay and we will see how we go.”

The Australians are currently third in the points table with five wins out of seven matches and a win over Afghanistan could help them clinch their spot in the semis.
