Khaleel was the founder of Jawahar Union FC Club which served as a platform for many national and international players.
Former KSFA President A. R. Khaleel passed away in the early hours of the morning today.
Khaleel was one of the AIFF executive committee members for several years. He also served AIFF as the treasurer and later on as Vice President until he resigned in 2018. Khaleel also was the Vice President of KSFA for a long time.
He also was the founder and owner of Jawahar Union FC Club which served as a platform for many national and international level players.
KSFA President and AIFF Vice President N A Haris paid a visit at his residence, on TV Road, to show his tribute to the departed. Haris said, " Khaleel has rendered yeoman service to football both at the national and district level. He was a passionate football lover, a former player, and owned one of the city's famous football clubs Jawahar Union FC. He was a great administrator."
Details of his funeral were not announced as his daughters are outside the country.
A Kantharaj former India and IIT football player expired on 25.02.2022 at 7 am at the age of 75 in his house at 4th Cross, Hoskote Gehind Court, I. B. Road, Hoskote.
