Musheer Khan wouldn't be able to join the Mumbai team for the Irani Cup as he was caught in a road accident. The young player suffered a fracture while he was travelling to Lucknow with his father Naushad Khan. 

The Irani Cup is scheduled to begin on 1st October. Musheer along with his brother Sarafarz is part of the Mumbai team. Elaborated details about this accident are yet to be disclosed however it is known that the accident took place in Uttar Pradesh. 

While a source spoke to Times of India, he stated - “He didn’t travel with the Mumbai team to Lucknow for the Irani Cup. He was probably traveling from his native place, Azamgarh, with his father, to Lucknow when the accident took place”. 

Musheer’s absence will cause a major setback for the Mumbai team as he has been one of the most talented players in domestic cricket since last season.
