Team India is under pressure to draw the test series, after their defeat at the opening Test. Gambhir notified that the Pune Test will play a huge role in deciding the work pressure on the pacers.
Gautam Gambhir stated that India will closely monitor the workload of Jasprit Bumrah and other fast bowlers ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in November. India is set to play five Tests in Australia, including a Day-Night match at Adelaide Oval.
“Once the series is over, we still have around 10 or 12 days before the Test starts in Australia. That is enough break for our fast bowlers as well. But we will still monitor after this Test match where Jasprit Bumrah is," Gambhir affirmed in the pre-match press conference.
The coach further continued, “But it's not only about Jasprit Bumrah. It's about all the fast bowlers as well. We want to keep them fresh. We know that obviously we have got a long tour and an important tour of Australia,”.

"Workload management will definitely depend on what the outcome of this Test match is and how much have they bowled in this match,".
Bumrah previously showed his attacking stance before Australia took 32 wickets in seven Tests.
