Glenn Maxwell's maiden 200 ended Afganistan's fairytale

Ibrahim Zadran became the first Afghan batter to score a hundred at the World Cup

Five-time champion, Australia ended Afganistan's fairytale as they won the match by three wickets in the ongoing World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

Earlier, Ibrahim Zadran became the first Afghan batter to score a hundred at the World Cup. He finished on 129 not out off 143 balls. Rashid Khan swiped an unbeaten 35 off 18 balls towards the end.

Glenn Maxwell led Australia with a massive 201 run stand with 128 balls and managed to pull off an unbelievable win and sealed the semis berth.

Meanwhile, Afganistan were unable to dedicate this win to the Afghan refugees in Pakistan this time around.
