Along with several sports associations, clubs and social organizations, the Governor of West Bengal C.V. Ananda Bose came forward to encourage the Santosh Trophy-winning Bengal men’s football team at the Governor’s House on Saturday. 

Bose and his wife encouraged the team, giving a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the IFA which will be distributed among the footballers. This apart, the Governor gave prizes to the footballers individually also.

The IFA secretary and the other executives were also present in the function along with the footballers and coach Sanjoy Sen.
