The UEFA Nations League win has witnessed his concluding appearance for France.
Antoine Griezmann, the French 2018 World Cup-winning forward, announced his retirement from international football on Monday. Another star bid farewell from the football world as the 33-year-old footballer drew an ending line to his 10 years-long glorious football career.
The France vice-captain took to his “X” account and wrote - "It is with a heart full of memories that I am closing this chapter of my life,”.
The forward first represented France in March 2014 and since then he hasn't looked back. Antoine played countless matches for France, earning 137 caps, a tally surpassed only by his ex-teammate Hugo Lloris (145) and 1998 World Cup champion Lilian Thuram (142).
The 33-year-old played doubtlessly one of the best players in France. He earned the record of being the fourth-leading goal-scorer with 44 goals.
