Pep Guardiola is frustrated and joked he wants to hurt himself with Man City’s performance after they blew the 3-0 lead in the final 15 minutes. Eventually concluding the match in a 3-3 draw in the Champions League against Feyenoord on Tuesday. 

The exasperated Guardiola stated, “We lost a lot of games lately. We are fragile, and of course we need a victory.”

While talking about the deep cut all over his face and nose along with the red marks on his head, the manager stated,“Yes, it's from my nail on my finger,' he said. 'I cut myself with my fingernail (during the game). I want to hurt myself.”

He further stated, about the team situation, saying, "We concede a lot of goals because we are not stable". “We give them the first and the other ones and that is why it is difficult.”

City’s draw ended their five-game losing streak but failed to inspire confidence before Sunday’s clash with Liverpool. It marked the first time since 1989 they lost a three-goal lead, and the first-ever in the final 15 minutes of a Champions League game.

Erling Haaland scored twice, with Ilkay Gundogan adding a deflected goal, to give the English champions a dominant lead at the Etihad Stadium.

City sit 15th in the 36-team table with eight points, just one ahead of Feyenoord in 20th.

In the Premier League, Liverpool hold an eight-point lead over City at the top. Guardiola has admitted that an 11-point gap would be nearly impossible to close, even for a team that has won a record four consecutive English top-flight titles.

“Rest one or two days, clear the head mentally, and think of the next (game)," said Guardiola when asked how he will respond.

“We’ve not been in many times in this situation, this is when we have to show our character and stay together.”
