Mohun Bagan Super Giants’ (MBSG) new Spanish coach Antonio Habas who already started guiding Clifford Miranda over telephone has reportedly suggested the MBSG management to rope in a Spanish striker during the ongoing transfer window. 

But it is believed that MBSG op brass has not yet decided about the replacement of foreigners at the moment. Rather the management wants to monitor Hugo Boumous and Jason Cummings’ performance in the forthcoming Super Cup before initiating for the replacement of foreigners. Boumous even might be chosen the team’s captain in the Super Cup. 

Incidentally, MBSG’s effort to rope in Indian international midfielder Chinglensana Singh is unlikely to mature. Even their effort to rope in Hormipam Ruivah from Kerala Blasters has taken a halt as the club has to pay huge amount of transfer fees to confirm the footballer’s signing. 

It is learned MBSG top brass also seems to depend on wait-and-watch policy regarding the recruitment of foreigners as they are realizing it is difficult to bring quality foreign footballers during the ongoing transfer window. 

However, Juan Ferrando who resigned from MBSG coach’s post a couple of days back, has reportedly been approached by beleaguered Hyderabad FC.
