Indian Equestrian Dressage team won gold at the Asian Games
On 26th September, Hangzhou witnessed India's First Asiad gold in equestrian since 1982 games in Delhi. The Indian team comprised of Sudipti Hajela, Hriday Vipul Chheda, Anush Gaarwalla, and Divyakriti Singh scripted this incredible history.
The Indian team topped the scoreboard with a remarkable 209.205 while China finished with Silver with 204.882 and Hong Kong China finished at the 3rd spot with 204.852.
Only the top 3 performers score were considered for the team's overall score in the Dressage Team event. India comfortably finished above China due to the exceptional score of Anush Agarwalla who swiped a total of 71.088 points. With his talent showcased on Tuesday, Anush Agarwalla and his horse Etro moved to the 2nd spot in the Individual Dressage event. Vipul Hriday Chheda and his horse Chemxpro Emerald are also in the 3rd spot.
Not only the technical prowess but also the much needed synchronization and unity in the team is the true essence of equestrian dressage team event, which was perfectly portrayed by the Indian team. With this outstanding feat, India's total gold tally has gone up to 3.
