It was a historic day in Mohun Bagan Club as they inaugurated the historic sculpture of the beloved Immortal XI at the Mohun Bagan Club. The heritage bench on which the players used to sit during the match has also been preserved around which the sculpture has been built, for the historic 1911 Mohun Bagan squad. 

The sculpture was inaugurated by the likes of respected and well-known personalities like Shri Sourav Ganguly the former Indian Cricket Team Captain and former president of BCCI, hon'ble Sports Minister, Shri Aroop Biswas, Shri Shyamal Sen, Syed Nayeemuddin, Shyam Thapa, Pradip Choudhary, Subrata Bhattacharya, Prasun Banerjee, president of CAB, Shri Snehasish Ganguly, actress Rituparna Sengupta, singer Smt. Lopamudra Mitra, author Smt. Debarati Mukhopadhyay and the family members of the legendary and beloved Immortal XI.

The artists behind this masterpiece Sri Ratan Halder and Sri Priyobrata Halder were also felicitated for their excellent and realistic work. Apart from the inauguration a new ‘Membership Smart Card’ of the 2023-24 season was gifted to Sri Aroop Biswas and Sri Sourav Ganguly by club General Secretary, Debasish Dutta.
