‘I am honoured, but they are legends’ says David Warner

Warner achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring his sixth century in ODI World Cup matches, putting him on par with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Star Australia opener David Warner said that he is honoured to have equaled the World Cup record of India legend Sachin Tendulkar with his majestic hundred against the Netherlands in the ongoing World Cup group match in New Delhi.

Notably, Warner achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring his sixth century in ODI World Cup matches, putting him on par with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Warner also reflected on the significance of performing well on a global platform like the Cricket World Cup, which comes around every four years. Warner scored his sixth World Cup hundred against the Netherlands in their fifth match of the ongoing tournament in India. Warner, who slammed 163 against Pakistan in Hyderabad, reached his second consecutive hundred from just 91 balls with 11 fours and three sixes at New Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium.

"For me, it's about going out there and doing my best. We live for those World Cups, every four years, we really have to shine at this stage. I try and emulate what I do in the bilateral series," David Warner said while speaking on Star Sports.
