Others in the six-member oversee committee include Yogeswar Dutt, Trupti Murgunde, Radhica, and Rajesh Rajagopalan.
Former wrestler Babita Phogat brought an allegation against her fellow committee member Radhika Sreeman for snatching from her the final report on sexual harassment against the WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh before she could read the findings in full.
Babita was included in the Government’s probe panel to investigate the allegations on the insistence of protesting wrestlers. It is learnt that Babita had some objections but she was not allowed to read the full report by Radhika. She told PTI, “I read a few pages of the report and I had some objections but Radhika Sreeman snatched the report from me and told me that as I belong to the same family ( Phogat ) that is holding the protest I can not read the report.”
The charge has been vehemently denied by the Radhika who said, “It is not true. Babita has also read the report for around four to five times.” She further added that on the eve of Holi, all members sat together, and whatever was drafted, based on the hearings, was explained to Babita and she was satisfied. All the members were supposed to assemble at SAI on 4th April to sign the report but Babita didn’t turn up. Radhika aded, “Even her phone was switched off. Chairman Mary Kom, allowed her to come the next day and sign the report as she said her baby was unwell. The rest of the members, who has already arrived signed on the 4th but Babita didn’t turn up the next day also,” Radhika said.
The government has formed a oversee committee, headed by legendary boxer Mary Kom, to look into the alligation, leveled by the country's top wrestlers. Others in the six-member oversee committee include Yogeswar Dutt, Trupti Murgunde, Radhica, and Rajesh Rajagopalan. However Babita Phogat had tried to mediate with rthe protesters on behalf of the oversee committee but refused by her sister Vinesh Phogat, the key member among the protesters. now, she has taken a twist and said, “I was with the wrestlers and I will remain with them.
