IFA chooses Ranjan Chowdhury as Bengal's coach for Santosh Trophy

The qualifiers for the senior national football championship are scheduled to start in October in Amritsar.

The IFA coaches' committee has chosen former India international and presently A-licensed coach, Ranjan Chowdhury as the coach Bengal team for the senior national football championship, Santosh Trophy this year. The qualifiers for the senior national football championship are scheduled to start in October in Amritsar. 

Ranjan was Bengal for the same competition previously and under his guidance Bengal became runner-up. IFA secretary Anirban Dutta commented on the issue, "I feel the coaches' committee has taken the correct decision. Under Ranjan's guidance, Bengal became runner-up once. Secondly, he is also successful in club coaching, and more importantly, he is a licensed coach."

The IFA coaches' committee consists of IFA vice presidents, Sourav Paul, Swarup Biswas, assistant secretaries Sufal Giri, Rakesh Jha, and Najrul Islam.
