In the contest between the two Asian arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, hosted in Ahemdabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, the former swiped the win ruthlessly by 7 wickets.

India was off to a flying start in their chase after Pakistan collapsed to 191 all out. Opener Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill racked boundaries before Shaheen Afridi dismissed Gill.

Virat Kohli joined the chase with Rohit Sharma and the two most experienced batters went all out on Pakistan bowlers with 56 quickfire runs. Rohit missed out on the century as he got out after he made 86 runs off 63 balls.

Shreyas Iyer too showed off and scored a half-century and alongside KL Rahul, easily finished off the game.

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl. Pakistan started on a positive note and managed 155 for 2 in the 30th over. Then India made a stunning comeback with Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav's strikes. Pakistan lost 5 wickets for next 16 runs. India then managed to wrap up the tail pretty quickly as Ravindra Jadeja took the final wicket in the form of Haris Rauf.

For India, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja all swiped a couple of wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah is the player of the match.
