India Clinch Series with Thrilling Win as Suryakumar Applauds Team's Grit

With this victory, India secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

The Indian T20 skipper is ecstatic after the third win against England in Pune. Suryakumar Yadav stated, "We didn't want to go back, boys know what brand of cricket we want to play. Three wickets in one over was too much. But the positivity and the way Dube and Pandya showed their experience in the middle were great. This is what we have been talking about—expressing yourself and batting the same way as in the nets.”

“The way they practice is incredible, and they do it in the game. I'm happy I think we're moving in the right direction. I always knew post-powerplay, [overs] 7-10, there was a time we could control the game. We picked up a few wickets, and then Harshit Rana came in as a third seamer and delivered for us that was incredible.”

Half-centuries from Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya, along with standout bowling performances from Ravi Bishnoi and Harshit Rana, led India to a thrilling 15-run victory over England in the fourth T20I in Pune on Friday.

After being invited to bat, India struggled early at 12 for 3 but recovered thanks to a crucial 87-run partnership between Hardik Pandya, who scored 53 off 30 balls, and Shivam Dube, who matched the effort with 53 off 34. Their knocks helped India post a competitive total of 181 for 9.

In response, England faltered under pressure as Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets for 28 runs, while concussion substitute Harshit Rana also claimed three wickets for 33. Varun Chakravarthy contributed with two wickets for 28, ensuring India bowled out England for 166.

With this victory, India secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.
