As expected, Jasprit Bumrah took over the charge, captaining India at Sydney after Rohit Sharma was dropped. Still, India failed to overcome the panic of Australian bowlers on a green-top Sydney wicket, four crucial wickets at 72 only. 

Even Virat Kohli tried to sustain, trying to get rid of his sluggish footwork did not lick. He played 69 deliveries, most of which was played with uneasiness before being caught by Webster off the bowling of Boland. 

India fought back from 72 for four to 185 all out finally thanks to Rishabh Pant and Rabindra Jadeja followed by Jasprit Bumrah’s bravery. Scott Boland became the stand-out bowler for Australia, scalping four wickets while Mitchell Starc also claimed three at the cost of 49 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah has already bounced back with the new ball, forcing Usman Khwaja to return to pavallion. Australia is 9 for the loss of one wicket. Sam Konstas is posing a threat to Indian bowlers with his as usual aggressive attitude.
