India D Leading Against India C; After Half Centuries by Padikkal, Iyer

India C, resuming at 91/4, was bowled out for 168, thanks to Harshit Rana’s impressive 4/33 and Axar Patel’s 2/46.

The 2nd day of the Duleep Trophy took off on Friday. After the first day's rocky start and impressive batting from Axar, the India D’s star players showed their game. 

The India D is surely extending their lead to 202 runs against India C. Shreyas Iyer aiming for an potential India comeback scored 54 off 44 balls with a smashing innings of nine fours and an overhead boundary. While Devdutt Padikkal contributed 56 off 70 balls with eight boundaries. At stumps, India D stood at 206/8, with Axar Patel (11) and Harshit Rana at the crease.

Harshit will start his innings in the first session of the third day with the backing of Axar. Needless to say, India C will be on their aggressive stance to extend the upper hand against their opponents. 

India C team’s Manav Suthan the young left-arm spinner showed an impressive performance taking 5/30 in 15 overs. His key wickets included a well-set Devdutt Padikkal and Ricky Bhui, who was dismissed LBW for a crucial 44 off 91 balls. However, Iyer and Padikkal put together a stunning 126-run partnership that helped stabilise the team.
