Anirudh Thapa’s first-half strike was enough for India as it clinched a 1-0 win against Myanmar in its opening match of the Tri-Nation International tournament at the Khuman Lampak Stadium on Wednesday. 

Indian players got huge support from the spectators as the gallery was full. After a long time, 'Mexican Wave' among the spectators was seen. Aniruddha Thapa struck the winner at the end of first half, hitting in from a center made by Rahul Bheke from flank. 

Sunil Chhettri himself obtained chances, but failed to score. The senior national team maintained its winning streak of four consecutive matches on the day.
