India opened their account in the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers in Vientiane, Laos, humiliating Mongolia 4-1 in a Group G match at the Lao National Stadium on Wednesday.

The teams were locked 1-1 at half-time, but India stepped up the assault in the second half to leave Mongolia's defense shattered. Kelvin Singh Taorem broke the deadlock in the 20th minute while Manglenthang Kipgen had a double strike (51st and 54th minute, respectively), and Korou Singh Thingujam sealed the opposition's fate scoring in the 85th minute. 

Iran and host Laos are the two other teams in the group.

Despite India’s complete dominance over the match and the rivals being reduced to 10 men, Mongolia managed to equalize the score-line in the 45th minute through midfielder Temulen Uuganbat. But India, bouncing back dominated their opposition and forced them to soak the pressure in their half for most of the time.
