India’s chances of reaching the ICC World Test Championship Final look slim after a shaky performance on fourth day  of the third Test against Australia at the Gabba. Trailing by 193 runs, India managed only 252/9 in 74.5 overs in response to Australia’s commanding 445. Rain delays offered brief relief, but Australia remained firmly in control.

Ravindra Jadeja led the fight with a gritty 77 off 123 balls, while KL Rahul contributed a solid 84. The lower order showed some resistance, with Akash Deep scoring 27 off 31 balls and Jasprit Bumrah battling for 10 off 27 balls. Nitish Kumar Reddy managed 16 off 61, but the rest fell without significant contributions.

Australia’s bowlers dominated the day. Pat Cummins was the standout performer, taking 4 wickets, while Mitchell Starc grabbed 3. Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon chipped in with one wicket each.

With a massive deficit and Australia firmly in control, India’s hopes of reaching the ICC World Test Championship Final now hang by a thread.
