India will make debut with Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra in Paris Olympic, announces full team squad

Sharath Kamal, for the fifth time in the Olympic games at the age of 41 years!

On Thursday, the Table Tennis Federation of India(TFI) announced the men's and women's team squads for the upcoming Olympics in Paris, starting from 26th July. Sharath, Harmeet Desai, and Manav Thakkar are on the list of the men's team, while Manika, Sreeja Akula, and Archana Kamath are the squad members of the women's category. G. Sathiyan and Ayhika Mukherjee are in the alternative player section respectively.

The decision was taken based on the latest world rankings. Alternate players cannot stay in the official Games Village according to the guidelines of the Olympic Committee. 

For the Table Tennis icon of India, Sharath, It may be the final appearance for the Olympics. He also holds a record number of appearances in the Olympics which is five. Costantini, the head coach of India will take charge of the Indian team for a third time. He arrived in India earlier this week.
