The India Women’s under-19 cricket team clinched the inaugural Women’s U-19 Asia Cup by defeating Bangladesh under-19 women by 41 runs in the final on Sunday, 22nd December, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Batting first, India posted 117, losing seven wickets thanks to a supple 52 off 47 deliveries by Gongadi Trisha, which included seven boundaries.
In response, Bangladesh innings collapsed to 75. Juairiya Ferdous was the top scorer with 22 off 30 balls. India’s bowlers, Parunika Sisodia, Aayushi Shukla, and Sonam Yadav were the key Indian bowlers who dismantled the opposition.
