A positive start to India's Olympics journey as the women's archery team sealed a top-four spot in the team event, thereby directly qualifying for the quarter-finals. Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Deepika Kumari all finished in the top 32.

Ankita finished 11th with a score of 666, while fellow debutent archer, Bhajan finished 22nd with 659. Deepika Kumari finished 23rd with 658 points.

India's Olympics 2024 campaign got underway with archery, as the individual ranking rounds began one day before the opening ceremony of the Paris Games.

If India win their quarter-final in the women's team, they are likely to face defending champions South Korea, who finished first in the team's seeding. South Korea have won 27 archery gold medals in Olympics history, 13 more than any other nation.
