Indian women clinch historic gold in Games cricket

Sri Lanka defeated by 19 runs

India's second gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games was won by the women's cricket squad. 

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues scored a crucial 73-run stand and put India towards victory. Mandhana scored 46 runs off 45 balls, smashing a solitary six. India posted 116 for 7 on the scoreboard after 20 overs.

Titas Sadhu swiped up three wickets and was the pick of the bowlers for India. Sri Lanka ended their innings with 97 for 8 after 20 overs, falling short by 19 runs.
