Iniesta to Announce Official Retirement

The rumours of his potential farewell were further affirmed by the well-known football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The football legend Andres Iniesta, hinted at ending his illustrious professional football career, on Tuesday.  The Spanish footballer took to his social media accounts on X and Instagram posted with the caption “COMING SOON 8/10/24.”

Fans are heartbroken by the announcement of Don Andres’s potential retirement. Many fans theorised the specific date signifies the jersey he donned during the Barcelona captain’s 18 years long reign in the club.  

While the Barcelona player hadn't made the announcement clear the fans speculated that this post might suggest retirement from football. 

Throughout his 18 years long time, he had achieved nine LaLiga titles, four Champions League trophies, three FIFA Club World Cups, six Copa del Rey titles, three UEFA Super Cups and seven Spanish Super Cups with Barcelona, leaving behind an unparalleled and enduring legacy.
