Injured Josh Hazlewood to miss first India test, doubtful for 2nd test
Australia received a big blow after one of the team's crucial members in their bowling line-up, fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the first Test against India due to injury on the left leg. The first test is scheduled to take place in Nagpur from 9th February. The 32-year-old fast bowler admitted that that he is yet to come out of the Achilles injury on his left leg that he sustained while bowling in Sydney Test against South Africa last in January.
The fast bowler could not bowl in Australia's four-day preparation camp organized at Alur near Bangalore. The Australian team management has informed Hazlewood seems also uncertain in the second Test against India in New Delhi. The fast bowler will reportedly be able to start bowling at the nets from 7th February reaching Nagpur.
However, young fast bowler Scott Boland is likely to replace Hazlewood in the team for the first Test against India making his debut in Test with baggy green.
