Real Kashmir is now placed on the fourth position in the League table with 27 points from 15 matches
Inter Kashi is planning to send a letter to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) seeking its observation and reply on Peter Hartley’s complaint against Real Kashmir’s Shaher Shaheen.
The Inter Kashi defender tweeted after his team shared points against Real Kashmir in the I-League on Saturday, ‘17 years I have played professional football. Today I was spat into my face by number 16 of Real Kashmir. I have played in India for four years. This is not acceptable in our sport and certainly not acceptable in our country. I will be exploiting the options to report this player.’
Interestingly, the video clippings of the moment did not show Shaheen spitting on Hartley’s face. Rather he was trying to say 'shut up' after Hartley rushed to him. The defender was sent off in injury time.
Inter Kashi already informed the match-commissioner about the incident and the club is planning to send a letter also to the AIFF, seeking their observation on the whole issue and a reply.
Real Kashmir on the other side is angry with Hartley's tweet. The club's top brass feels Hartley has dishonored the team's footballer with the false allegation and it is learned that Shaheer Shaheen wants to send a retort to Hartley's tweet by sending legal notice.
However, it also learned that Inter Kashi is likely to play their home matches in the I-league from next season.
The construction of a new stadium named Sampurna Anand at Varanasi is under process and the club is expecting the stadium will be ready this summer. Inter Kashi is playing their home matches in the I-league at Kalyani Stadium.
Real Kashmir is now placed on the fourth position in the League table with 27 points from 15 matches while Inter Kashi is on the fifth spot with 23 points from 16 matches.
