IPL Drama: Hardik Banned!

Rohit eyes on WC, BCCI to Gambhir

Mumbai Indians' skipper, Hardik Pandya, got slapped with a hefty fine of Rs. 30 lakh after his squad lagged behind on the over-rate during their recent IPL 2024 showdown against Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium. With this being their third strike of the season, Pandya not only faced the big bucks penalty but also got benched for the next game. And guess what?

He's starting off IPL 2025 on the sidelines. But wait, there's more! The rest of the squad didn't get away scot-free either. They all got hit with fines ranging from Rs. 12 lakh or 50% of their match fees, whichever is lesser.

In other news, Rohit Sharma is gearing up with full focus for the upcoming T20 World Cup as he takes the helm. But what's next after the tournament? Well, rumor has it that Gautam Gambhir might just be the top pick for BCCI as they eye him for the role of head coach. Looks like Rahul Dravid might be passing on the torch this time around. Exciting times ahead for Indian cricket!
