It will be brutal if Nadal is out of French Open: says Roger Federer

It is time to wait and see if Nadal comes to Roland Garros.

The French Open will be starting on 22nd May but two of the favorites in this tournament, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, are still doubtful about their participation.

Nadal is regarded as the king of the clay court. His participation in particular is a touch-and-go case as he has not played in any tournament this year on a clay court. His last competitive tournament was in the Australian Open in January. Regular updates on his training process have been received on social media as he looks to make a full recovery from his serious hip injury. However, he has withdrawn from the Italian Open last week as he is not 100 percent fit.

Now it is time to wait and see whether Nadal comes to the Roland Garros to take the challenge. Roger Federer said that it will be very cruel if the 22-time Grand Slam Winer is out of the draw. He told to Sky Sports in a Miami Grand Prix," It will be brutal if Nadal is out. It will be tough for Tennis if Rafa is not there."

Djokovic is also suffering from an elbow injury since Monte Carlo Masters. He withdrew from the Madrid Open last week. However, Djokovic is expected to be back in Rome in the ATP Masters' 1000 event which will start on 10th May.
