Italy and Spain up against each other in the Group of Death in UEFA Euro 2024

Group B can no doubt be called the group of death with 8th ranked in the World, Spain, 9th ranked Italy, and 10th ranked Croatia all being the in this very group, with an additional focus on Italy being the defending Champions of the competition.

The Football festival in the season is growing bigger with tournaments like the AFC Asian Cup, UEFA Champions League knockout stages, and the UEFA EURO 2024 coming up in 2024. All lined up to entertain viewers what was much awaited was the draw for this year's Euro Qualifiers, which eventually took place last eve. 

With action ready to return in the heavily contested European Championship the draw turned out to add more spice to the contest. The groups were decided with some teams affording a sigh of relief while some, expecting a tough road ahead.

Group of death is one, which is often most talked about, and as things stand for Euro 2024, it is seemingly Group B. To shed more light on this very group, it consists of the 2010 World Cup Champions and one of the most successful teams in the Euro Cup with 3 Titles to their name, Spain, the 4 times World Champions and 2 times Euro winners, France, and the new powerhouse with surprises 10th ranked in the World, Croatia along with Albania as the fourth team in the group.

The 5 other groups have Germany, Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland in Group A, Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, and England in Group C, Netherlands, Austria, France, and play-off winners A in Group D, while Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and play-off winner B in Group E and Turkey, Portugal, Czechia, and play-off winner C in Group F. 

With the groups being decided and the new year arriving, the group stages of the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany is set to commence on the 15th of June, 2024.
