Mustafa Sylla, a football player lost his life on the football field

A football player lost his life again on the football field. Mustafa Sylla felt ill while playing a match in Ivory Coast's first-division football league on Sunday. Later, the 21-year-old defender died on the way to the hospital from the field.

Mostafa Sylla joined Ivory Coast club Racing d'Abidjan six months ago. But luck did not help him. This footballer fell ill on the field while playing. As a result, he was rescued and died on the way to the hospital.

A statement from Racing d'Abidjan confirmed Mustafa Sylla's death, saying, "Our defender Mustafa Sylla passed away due to an illness on the field during the match between Racing d'Abidjan and Soul FC this evening."

Logosina Cisse, club president of Racing d'Abidjan, said, “Mustapha died while being taken to the hospital. He joined the club last September at the age of 21."

Racing d'Abidjan won the Ivory Coast First Division Football League title in 2020. Currently, they are in the seventh position in the points table of the league.
