The new season of the Indian Women's League(IWL) is here as the defending Champions Gokulam Kerala FC are ready to take on Sethu FC in the opening game of the IWL on the 8th of December 2023, at the EMS Corporation Stadium.

This season promises to be more exciting and competitive with a new structure in place and with the number of tiers increased, hence with 7 teams in this top tier of the tournament. The participating teams for this season are East Bengal FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, Odisha FC, HOPS FC, Sports Odisha, Kickstart FC, and Sethu FC.

East Bengal have lately been in wonderful touch with sheer dominance in the ongoing Kanyashree Cup and are now all set to begin their IWL campaign on the 10th of December against Sports Odisha who finished 2nd in Group A in the previous edition, just ahead of East Bengal.

East Bengal travel to Odisha tomorrow, as they prepare for the crucial opening clash against Sports Odisha, with a few possible alterations and addition to their squad for which they will be rooting on a number of incoming signings from Manipur in order to strengthen and sharpen their squad for the IWL season.
