Bangladesh has reached 233/10 in the first innings. India is at 138/2 in 16 overs before tea break.
Ravindra Jadeja the Indian star all-rounder, scribed his name in test cricket history as he became the fastest Indian to score 3,000 runs and bagged 300 wickets in just 74 test matches. Jadeja has evolved from being primarily a spinner to a genuine all-rounder.
The spinner achieved this incredible feat after he dismissed Bangladesh's Khaled Ahmed on the fourth day of the Second test match against India, at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur.
Globally, Jadeja is only the second cricketer to achieve this milestone, following England’s Ian Botham, who accomplished it in 72 matches.
The spinner further became 7th Indian Bowlers to ever bag 300 wickets including the table leader Anil Kumble (619), R Ashwin (524), Kapil Dev (434), Harbhajan Singh (417), Ishant Sharma (311) and Zaheer Khan (311).
Mominul Haque, the Bangladesh batter also etched history, as he became the country’s first batter to ever reach 100 runs on Indian soil. Bangladesh has reached 233/10 in the first innings. India is at 138/2 in 16 overs before the tea break.
