Jadeja stars as India trounce Australia by six wickets

India defeated Australia in the second Test in the ongoing four-Test Border- Gavaskar series.

The Delhi Test also ended in just two and a half days as India defeated Australia by six wickets in the second Test to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 lead in the ongoing four-Test Border- Gavaskar series.At the beginning of the third day, Australia was disjointed by Jadeja's whirlwind of spin as the Saurashtra spinner wrecked the Aussie setting up a devastating figure of 7 wickets for only 42 runs in 12.1 overs. Australia was 61 for 1 at stumps at the end of the second day. On the third day on Sunday another 9 Australian wickets fell within couple of hours and Australia's second innings ended in 113. Except Travis Head (43) and Marnus Labuschagne (35) none could offered a minimum resistance to Indian spinners as R. Ashwin also bagged three wickets. India had only 115 runs to win and they completed it in 27th over scoring 118 for the loss of four wickets. While Cheteshwar Pujara remained unbeaten 31 in his 100th Test in Delhi, Virat Kohli hogged limelight being the fastest batter to score 25,000 international runs. The 3rd Test is scheduled to be held at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from March 1st to 5th.
